the Youth Activator Program is designed for highschool students (grades 11-12 preferred) and any post-secondary students across Canada who:

  • are curious about climate change and want to learn more
  • care about making a positive impact but aren't sure how
  • want to explore career options after high school
  • need support with university/college applications
  • are looking to build professional skills and confidence
  • want to connect with mentors in climate-related fields
  • are passionate about social justice and environmental issues

you don't need to be a topic expert or have perfect grades. we welcome young people at all knowledge levels who are curious, committed, and ready to learn.

time commitment: 1.5 hours/week.

  • what you enjoy learning about
  • environmental + social issues you deeply care for

workshops

spend ~2hrs a week understanding Canada’s climate landscape, building your problem-solving capacity, and growing your network.

  • climate action in the context of government, academia, nonprofits, trades, and the corporate sector
  • how to stand out in an increasingly competitive market
  • university applications, resumes, cover letters, and networking
  • building genuine professional relationships
